After many years of living just around the corner to Balans in Earls Court I decided it was high time that I head there for some lunch rather than just enjoying their delicious brunches.
On a rainy summers afternoon, as I looked upon my bare cupboards I decided that there wasn't enough food in there to feed a mouse, so a trip out was the only way that I was going to satisfy my rumbbling tummy. Well looking outside at the dreary English summer and not wanting my hair to frizz anymore than normal, the only rational choice seemed to be to head to Balan's around the corner to test out their lunch menu.
Well my husband and I have always been a big fan of their breakfasts, but we had never before been there after the clock had struck midday in order to try the lunch menu. Well I have to say we were pleasantly surprised....there was a lot fo choice from sandwiches and salads to a warm heary lunch if you wanted it.
My husband went for the crawdaddy club, which was a huge sandwich of Crayfish, avocado and thousand island dressing with mountains of chips, that he happily scoffed away whilst delighting on his favourite thing....Thousand Island dressing. Whilst I went for the corn-fed chicken supreme which was so tender and tasty, it really took me back to being a young child again and it being one of my mothers favourite dishes to make.
The food all around is of a very good standard and Balans is a restaurant that you know you can walk into and always be greeted by friendly staff and be served a good plate of good.
