Located in the stylish seven dials area of Covent Garden, Dial is a hidden gem within the Radisson Edwardian Mercer Street Hotel.
With its boutique interior and lavish furnishings, this bar and restaurant is a new up and coming hot spot to grab a cocktail or dine in style.
As you are politely seated on a comfy velvet sofa it is hard to choose from the wide variety of contemporary British cuisine that is on offer. A selection of beautifully baked breads are delivered first to get your taste buds warmed up for the array of starters on the menu including a well selected meat platter for two, complete with homemade pickled onions and picadilly relish.
The main courses are not a let down and we chose a classic juicy steak and thick cut chips and gnocchi with lemon butter, broccoli and a sprinkling of parmesan cheese, which were both delicious. The latter adding an Italian flair to the menu.
To finish we chose from a wide array of delicious choices and the dark chocolate tart with cumquat marmalade and cream ticked all the right boxes. If you are seeking something really special try the Dial’s crème brule finished with a delicate hint of lavender. An unusual pairing; but one that works perfectly to freshen the palette after the tasty main courses.
If it is a good meal or just drinks with friends you are seeking, The Dial provides both in great abundance.
